Greetings,
So you’ve been watching the news for a few days and everyone is giving you all the greatest advice about how to have a successful, healthy 2015.
I’d like to make this very simple for you with the following tips I have found to be successful on my journey:
Most important – NO RESOLUTIONS! We make intentions…NOT resolutions…
so…
My top 10 INTENTIONS for 2015
Slow down with food — when we focus on what we eat and slow down to enjoy it, our metabolism has the chance to digest our food properly allowing our body to absorb all the nutrients, vitamins, etc. giving us all our fuel to burn.
Make yourself a priority – A happy mom/dad is a good mom/dad, a happy employee is a good employee, a happy person is a good person. We need to put ourselves back on the front burner.
Leave body shame in 2014 – we can no longer shame and hate our bodies into the newest diet. I beg you to leave the body hate in 2014 and not allow it to come over to 2015. You know it doesn’t work. We cannot hate our body and expect it to work to our benefit.
Embrace your body – now that we’ve left the body shame and hatred in 2014, 2015 is the year we embrace our body and begin to nurture it with love, kindness and acceptance.
Move more – find movement you love – dancing, yoga, Pilates – and just get moving.
Journal – take a few minutes each day to write out those dreams, loves, passions, struggles, aspirations, frustrations, etc. By writing them in a beautiful journal, you give them a voice, you add life to those dreams, you let go of those frustrations.
Spend 10 minutes a day doing something you love – dancing crazy, journaling, meditating, talking with a friend, walking, running, crocheting, knitting, reading, daydreaming. After a week, you’ve spent over an hour with yourself doing something you enjoy. What’s an hour out of a busy week?
Let go of perfection – Perfection drives failure. There will be slips — embrace them, learn from them, but most allow them – Slips be there whether we invite them or not. Perfection no longer serves us.
Get out of the head – These previous tips gets us out of our heads and into our bodies. We can’t be walking heads in 2015. When we embrace the body, we allow the wisdom to find us.
Set up a coaching session – Email me at coach@coachnancylundy.com or call me at 718-258-9198 to set up a session. I’m here for you.
